Those of us that are/have adopted PI children all know how important it is to have bonding moments with our children. Jake is one of those sweet little boys that absolutely loves to be
held and loved on. Rhyne has come along ways, but only wants to be held for a moment and then wants to get down to play.
Each night after their bath, I get one out of the tub at a time, dry them off, wrap the towel around them, and rock them like a little baby. I normally tell them that Mommy and Daddy
love them very much, etc. Last night was no exception. I got Rhyne out of the tub, dried her
off, put the towel around her to keep her warm, and proceeded to rock her in my arms. I was telling her that Mommy and Daddy loved her very much and that She, Jake, Daddy, and Mommy were a Family. She always has a peaceful look on her face during this time, and sometimes closes her eyes as if she is wanting to lock this moment away in her memory to remember later. Anyway, I was telling her about Family and how we are so lucky to have her and Jake in our lives. She then opened her eyes and in a very seriously look said, "Mommy, booger in nose?". The sweet tender moment was over, and a sweet funny moment took it's place!
Ah, the memories we are building!!
